People from all over the world are gathering in Singapore for the I4C, and discuss the climate issues together
Innovate4Climate is the preeminent global event on climate finance, climate investment and climate markets. It is a platform that brings together business, finance, policy and technology leaders to accelerate action on financing climate-smart development. In 2019, I4C will focus on green finance, clean cooling, battery storage, climate-smart urban design, Asian climate markets and much more.
Carbon neutrality is achieved using low-carbon products and services and by offsetting the GHG emissions associated with the organization of I4C and the participation of all guests through the purchase of high-quality carbon credits.
I4C 2019 will be held at Marina Bay Sands Singapore, the first MICE facility in South East Asia to obtain the ISO 20121 Sustainable Events Management System certification. It is also the single largest building in Singapore to be conferred the Green Mark Platinum Certification by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA). The BCA Green Mark Scheme is a benchmarking scheme in Singapore that incorporates internationally-recognized best practices in environmental design and performance with an objective to drive the country’s construction industry towards more environment-friendly buildings.
ECO2 attended a conference hosted by Tom, founder of the Climate Chain Coalition (CCC), which attracted a large number of people. This conference is about:
How blockchain can improve the ability of companies/individual to attract capital needed to implement climate actions.
How blockchain can support the validation of identification and ownership to facilitate access to capital and de-risk infrastructure investments.
How blockchain can improve MRV and delivery of climate finance through increased transparency, accountability governance, including monitoring carbon credits.
With the development of blockchain technology, it will be applied to more fields. In order to ensure the success of climate action, we need to continue to strengthen from all aspects.
Environmental protection has become the focus of more and more people's attention. ECO2 learned in a competition of innovative environmental companies that the problem of food waste, electricity loss, or recycling is all linked to climate change. And that's going to be a positive trend.
The exhibition will be held as scheduled.
After the arrangement of ECO2’s booth, we attend the welcome party. Businesses, international organizations, groups and environmental activists from around the world participated in this party. At this party, ECO2 communicated with many leading enterprises in who involve in the carbon market, exchanging views, sharing experience and understanding the current situation of carbon sink market in various countries.
Meanwhile, we invite people from these companies to communicate face to face on the day of the exhibition, and introduce the VER Trade international carbon trading platform in detail, so as to reach a long-term cooperation and jointly promote the development of carbon market.
